And Happy New Year!

K on left, G on right!

We are now 3 months old!!

Can you believe it? The time has really FLOWN by and in a lot of ways I am so grateful. No, I don't want them to grow up too fast but we have passed some pretty big hurdles now and for that I am so thankful.

Kathryn is doing so much better with eating...she isn't screaming so much and I can tell when her stomach starts hurting she just barrels thru it now. She is starting to be a pretty happy girl these days and giving us BIG smiles especially when she wakes up...I think she is going to be my morning girl. She is however the one that always wakes up at night though...but we are making progress in that area too. At least if I do have to feed them in the middle of the night it is usually around 4 am and she will actually eat now whereas before I would be so mad b/c I would wake sleeping Garrett up and then she wouldn't eat and it was nuts!

Garrett is also doing good! We had another follow-up with the Pulmonologist and he said he is looking excellent! He weighs 11.1 pounds now - quite the porker - and that is exactly what he needs to be doing to outgrow that bad lung tissue that was damaged from the ventilator. The sleep study doctor recommended that we keep him on the O2 at night but our Pulmonologist disagreed and was going to talk to her further on the matter b/c he felt like he didn't need it and that the other dr was being too picky?! On a totally separate note though he doesn't like to make dirty diapers anymore so we are battling that right now. OH AND...poor buddy...he FINALLY got his circumcision done on Tuesday morning. (Dr. Wells wouldn't do it in the hospital because he was too little and he wanted him to grow so it wouldn't have to be redone later!) It was AMAZING to watch (from a medical standpoint) and although he was SCREAMING it didn't bother me at all...I am such a mean mommy...Brad on the other hand was cringing in the corner of the room while it was being done. I just thought it was cool that we got to watch.

They are sleeping good also. I HIGHLY recommend the book, "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child" by Dr. Weissbluth for any of those that may be having babies here soon and want some good reading...We are feeding them at around 9 (although I am trying to move that up earlier each day) and they sleep generally until 4 ish give or take. The other night they slept until 6am and then last night K woke up at 2:45 and then G woke up about 3:30 so after trying to get them to go back to sleep, I feed them at 4:30...Either way, I am only having to feed them ONCE in the night and that is SOOO much better than every 3 hours!
A couple of weekends ago, Leslie was in town and got to come by to see us! She and James and the girls gave the twins the cutest shoes and SUNGLASSES! I love them and I think they are too cute! Thanks Mayos!
I will post more later...New Years Resolutions, More pictures, Tonz of insight on Life with Twins...you know...all the good stuff! In the meantime, don't hold your breath and have a Happy New Years Day!!

This is kind of a random question, but I saw your stroller in a picture a while back and was wondering what kind it is. We bought one tonight but our carseats don't work in it very well so we are looking for another one.
