Memorial Day

We made our first OVERNIGHT trip to the lake over Memorial Day! You should have seen our car packed up like the Griswalds-we took SO much stuff-but you gotta have it with two babies! I was quite nervous about the babies sleeping but they did great. This was their first time EVER to not sleep in their beds at night and they napped and slept well in their pack-n-plays. The first night, Kathryn had a little gymnastics party in her bed for about 3 hours so we were up for a while, but she was so happy-never cried-just flippin and partyin' in her bed...silly girl...she may do that every night for all I know!

Here are my 3 favorite men! Garrett, Brad and my Dad! I love this pic!

Memorial Day Babies! They were SO happy and giggly that day!

Here is why my children ALWAYS have bibs on and why we NEVER have a good family photo! I MEAN SERIOUSLY!!! When does the SPIT UP STOP???? YUCK!

Garrett made up for it in this picture though! I LOVE these three! This is DEFINITELY a framer!

Sweet babies inspecting the grass-I never could really get them to look up at me b/c they were so fascinated with the grass. I usually lay a blanket down - I personally hate sitting on grass-too itchy-but I wanted to get some cute pics of them in their denim. It is a sweet shot anyways!

PEACE, LOVE, TWINS! Thanks Nikki for these ADORABLE shirts-clearly they LOVE them!!!

I love the spit up picture, it is hilarious and totally our life right now. I agree, when does it ever stop? I am actually getting pretty good at hearing the burb and "catching" it with my hands or the burb cloth. "Catching" it does not really help because it is so much that it goes straight through them, but it makes me feel better if I try.

I am so glad that they slept well away from home sweet home. We have not done that yet, maybe this next month. The pics of the denim are adorable and they are so smiley. :) Love you, friend.

I am glad you guys had a fun and easy weekend! My sister's first baby kept spitting up like that until she was one. Maybe there is an end in sight! How did we all end up with such spit-up prone babies!

The spit up pic made me laugh uncontrollably! I would get in big trouble if they knew I was reading a blog at work :) Yours is worth it, though! Laura L

Cute pictures. Oh the days of spit up. I thought we had dodged it with Trevor, but it has started all of the sudden. I am so glad that you all had a nice trip.

The picture of them with big smiles wearing their red, white and blue is cute, cute, cute! They look precious.

And, yes, that spit-up picture made me laugh out loud. Hilarious! I love your face in the picture and that you just kept right along taking the picture. Why stop?

I have had spit up with both of my kids. Jacob stopped around 7 months, but Johnny is going to be a year old next week and is still spitting up. His had nothing to do with reflux but has to do with his esophagus not developing correctly. Now that he is so old it's basically vomit. Doctors couldn't really do much but I took to an eastern med. doctor in Plano and had some luck. She did some acupuncture and the amount of spit up has greatly decreased. It's certainly no fun though. Hang in there.
