Now, Now, no one PANIC! I by NO MEANS am on top of the game here! Haven't bought a thing, don't know what I am going to buy, actually haven't thought about anything Christmas at all -- other than -- "It's not even THANKSGIVING yet"...
But here is the reason for the post...I am looking for some new traditions to start on the Moore side of the family. We want to start some fun things that eventually the kids will look forward to as well as the adults and that neither my family or Allie's family does...
So, if you read this and get a chance, post me your "traditions" or you can email them to me too brad.mere@gmail.com

We do the Advent Jesse Tree with our boys. It has a devo/ornament you hang up each day in December until the 25th. They LOVE it and are already asking me how much longer until we get the special ornaments out. A group of girls here actually split up all the ornaments and did a big party to get them all. Email me if you want more info!
I will try to think of other things too!
This year I am going to make a gingerbread nativity set for Layton to decorate. We are also going to start doing fondue as well. Wes' family always decorate sugar cookies on christmas eve. I was reading about the jesse tree the other day so let me know if you want to try to get a group to do one.
Meredith,
I think I remember hearing about John Shuttlesworth's family having some fun traditions. I think (if I remember correctly) everyone in the family brings multiple stocking stuffers for the adults (and maybe the kids?). Then, everyone goes around and fills up each others' stockings with all of the fun stuff. Ask Lindsay about the exact details... I just remember thinking that they were especially fun. Good luck!
I know I may have left some silly answeres before, but one we started doing are the Christmas Eggs. I think thats what they are, usually the bible stores will have one and 12 days before christmas you open one egg and read the story and say something. We did it last year and enjoyed it. the girls wanted to it again and would play with it a couple days after christmas until we put it up.
