One step closer!! Today we are 21 weeks and doing great! We went to the doctor for a sono on Monday afternoon and got a very good report. My cervix was a 25-26 which is a MAJOR improvement from the 8-12 it was just a week ago! My doctor said that it just proves that we are doing the right thing with all of this. He told me yesterday that we are out of the danger zone regarding any complications from the actual cerclage procedure and he anticipates it working fine. He feels that we will have no problem getting to 24 weeks (viability) and then his gut tells him that we can get to 30-34 weeks...that is what I have been wanting to hear!
As for my stay here...honestly it isn't bad at all. The nurses are so wonderful and don't let me do a thing-in a good way. I sleep great at night-they don't come in at all to do anything and unless I call them in the day they don't bother me. So I basically chill! It is nice. Just what these babies need.
My excitement today consisted of waking up and fixing a bowl of cheerios. I crawled back in bed ONLY TO SPILL THEM EVERYWHERE! All over the bed, floor, EVERYWHERE! It looked like the cheerio factory exploded in here! Oh to have had the camera-I will have to get that up here. Nothing like paging the nurse to sayI needed new sheets at 8 in the morning! Hopefully, that will be all the excitement for the day :)
Ok, I will keep you all posted on the progress better now...I HAVE A LAPTOP!! An underwriter that Brad does a lot of business with just volunteered her laptop for me...I don't even know her name! How sweet is that?? This will certainly keep me occupied now-and most of all connected to the world outside 367!
Thanks again for all the phone calls, prayers, visits, cards, flowers...We feel so blessed and thankful for all of it! Ten days down, 100? to go!!

Yeah for good news!
I have been praying for you. I laughed out loud at the thought of you spilling your Honey Nut Cherrios. YOu poor thing. So glad you have a laptop.
Do you have movies up there send me a list of what you have with you and I will get you some more, if you want...susangwen78@yahoo.com

Oh, poor thing! The laptop will definitely keep you sane! And have you thought about needlepointing?? Those little guys (or girls...or both) will need some cute Christmas stockings in a few months!!
So glad you got a laptop. I am going to send you some fun links.
Hey Mer-
So thankful things are looking much better. We are praying for 30-34 weeks!! I know you can make it. Keep baking those babies.
Still praying for you guys to keep doing great! Hooray for a good report from the doctors though.
I can just picture you in a hospital bed with all of those cheerios everywhere!
Glad you have a laptop now -- maybe that will help the time pass more quickly!
Mere, you are such a trooper. You have been in my thoughts & prayers!! Great news from the doc!! Cheerios are sneaky guys anyway...they have a hard time staying in my bowl as well. :)
with love, lindsey
Girl, I am needing some bed rest too- if I hold your Cherrios, will you make room? Tell Brad nice try on trying to butch-up your blog with the truck pic. But seriously, Braden and I are trying to make time to come and see you guys. Working on selling a kidney on the black market to pay for gas to get up there. I'll call you.
You poor thing not only bedrest but split cheerios!
Hope you continue to do so well.
I have been thinking of you and praying for you. If I can do anything from Lubbock, let me know. I just can't imagine bedrest!
